Seam allowance
The seam allowance is an additional border created beyond the net size (the ordered visible size). It is finished into the seam – the hemmed edge into which, depending on the product, eyelets, keder or a pole pocket are worked. This border is no longer visible on the finished banner.
How wide the allowance must be depends on the edge finishing. Examples: banner with flat keder 1.5 cm all round; banner with pole pocket / round keder 1.5 cm at the sides, 4 cm top and bottom. Run the background into the seam allowance (full bleed) and keep important content away from the edge.
