RAL
RAL is a standardised colour system used mainly for paints and coatings – familiar from window frames, gates or machinery. Each RAL number stands for a precisely defined shade.
Like Pantone, RAL is a spot colour. Digital printing does not use RAL colours but CMYK. A RAL colour therefore has to be converted to the nearest CMYK tone, which can introduce small deviations.
If a particular RAL tone is important (e.g. to match a painted object), please get in touch – and supply the matching CMYK value if possible.
