Hem

The hem is the folded, reinforced edge of a banner. It gives the fabric stability and stops the edges from fraying. Above all, the hem is the basis for fastening: depending on the product, eyelets are set into it, a keder is worked in or a pole pocket is sewn.

So that the hem can be made cleanly, a seam allowance beyond the net size is planned in the print data. How wide depends on the edge finishing.
